COULD AI CHANGE EVERYTHING FOR LAWYERS, ACCOUNTANTS?
Professional workers, such as lawyers and accountants, are bracing for the shakeups artificial intelligence is expected to bring to their roles. Experts believe the inclusion of AI in these roles will cut down on menial tasks and open up more time for professionals to work one-on-one with clients.
"Every sort of aspect of the profession will be impacted here," Thomson Reuters CEO and President Steve Hasker tells Yahoo Finance on the overhaul professional jobs will undergo. "Curriculums will have to be rewritten, sort of the types of skills that are taught will need to be looked at, and then both professional bodies and regulators are going to have to be active over the next few years."
Hasker points out the ethics concerns attached to AI-generated mistakes and the need to attribute portions of work to these language models.
