Conceptual solution for the synthesis of optimal control

Two levels of control are proposed: maintaining a constant height of the empty pile and increasing the temperature of the cast iron by controlling the air supply to the tuyere box

Construction of the optimal law for regulating the level of the height of the empty charge

It is shown that the problem of regulating the upper level of the empty charge can be solved using the Pontryagin’s maximum principle.

1 – empty charge;

2 – metal charge;

3 – coke charge

Synthesis of optimal control of air supply

The synthesis includes 7 consecutive stages, based on experimental and industrial studies, which precede the search for optimal control.

Control of the temperature profile of the cupola

The use of D-optimal plans for the selection of sensor installation points allows determining the temperature profile of the cupola with maximum accuracy.
