Edinburg Children’s Hospital is the first freestanding pediatric hospital in the Rio Grande Valley. The 107-bed hospital in Edinburg, Texas, features the region’s only exclusive pediatric emergency department, a Joint Commission certified asthma program, Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Institute as well as access to physicians in many specialty areas.

The hospital treats children from birth to 19 years of age and features a kid-friendly, comfortable atmosphere, with boldly colored murals from renowned artist Roark Gourley with. There are large pediatric playrooms where kids can have fun and a special teen room with a large-screen TV, movies, electronic video games, board games and more. The hospital also has its own mascot, Eddy, who helps brighten kids' days when they are in the hospital.

Edinburg Regional Rehab Center

The first inpatient rehabilitation program in the Rio Grande Valley, Edinburg Regional Rehab Center offers the region’s only rehab care facility for adults, children and adolescents. Located on the Edinburg Regional Medical Center campus, Edinburg Regional Rehab Center is also the Valley's first rehabilitation center accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities

Highly trained specialists at Edinburg Regional Rehab Center create specialized treatment programs to help patients recover after major surgical procedures, falls, traumatic brain injuries, strokes and more. Services include speech, occupational and physical therapy on an inpatient or outpatient basis. The Center also offers community reintegration training and support groups to help patients resume the normal activities of daily life.

McAllen Medical Center

McAllen Medical Center is a 441-bed hospital that is the only designated advanced Level III Trauma Center for Hidalgo County. The McAllen, Texas hospital offers specialized services in advanced wound care, maternity, neurosurgery and orthopedics. Its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit remains the region's only neonatal surgical center.

McAllen Medical Center is a certified Primary Stroke Center, works with the federal Veterans Administration to provide services to area veterans and has a family medicine residency program.

South Texas Health System’s standalone ER Mission is open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The Mission ER is staffed with the same medical personnel and equipped with the same diagnostic technology available in South Texas Health System’s hospital-based emergency rooms.

Unlike most urgent care centers, the South Texas Health System’s standalone ER Weslaco is always open. Medical personnel from the South Texas Health System’s hospital-based emergency department manages this facility and gives you access to the same care and diagnostic technology.

South Texas Behavioral Health Center serves the community with compassionate care and services tailored to children, teens, adults and seniors. Programs are designed to help treat a wide range of behavioral health conditions and addictive disorders. Staff members develop individualized treatment plans to lead patients on the path to recovery.

STHS ER Monte Cristo

The STHS ER Monte Cristo provides emergency care 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The Monte Cristo ER is staffed with the same medical personnel and equipped with the same diagnostic technology available in South Texas Health System’s hospital-based emergency rooms.
